URBAN OUTDOOR FURNITURE

That’s a great question, and the honest answer is: yes, we offer urban outdoor furniture that can work on balconies and fire-escape platforms, but we don’t call it “fire escape certified” because there is no single universal certification for that. Compliance depends on your local fire code, building regulations, landlord or property-management rules, and how the furniture is placed and secured. In many jurisdictions, furniture cannot block the path of travel, stairs, landings, windows, or exit routes, and some buildings do not allow any furniture on fire escapes at all. So the first step is always to check with your local authority and building management. For spaces where furniture is permitted, we recommend compact, lightweight, removable pieces rather than heavy or permanently fixed items. Materials such as powder-coated aluminum, weather-resistant metals, and fire-retardant fabrics or finishes may be appropriate depending on the requirement, and we can provide available material specifications, flame-spread test reports where applicable, and installation guidance. We can also help you choose foldable or stackable designs that keep escape routes clear when not in use. We would never recommend treating a fire escape as a normal patio: safety comes first, and no piece of furniture should interfere with emergency access or evacuation. If you tell us your city, building type, and the intended placement, we can point you toward suitable options and documentation to discuss with your code official or property manager.
