Secondly, the aperture must easily accept common beverage containers, including plastic bottles and aluminum cans, to promote recycling and reduce litter. Furthermore, consideration must be given for occasional larger, bulky items like folded cardboard boxes or disposable food containers, though safeguards against dumping oversized bags are necessary.
