Powder coating on our urban outdoor furniture prevents chipping and peeling through a sophisticated, multi-stage application process that creates an exceptionally durable and resilient surface. First, the metal furniture frames undergo thorough cleaning and pretreatment to remove any contaminants, ensuring optimal adhesion. The dry powder, composed of finely ground polymer resins and pigments, is then electrostatically sprayed onto the surfaces, which are electrically grounded. This creates a strong, uniform bond as the charged particles wrap evenly around the entire piece, including edges and complex geometries. The furniture is then cured in a high-temperature oven, where the powder melts, flows, and chemically cross-links to form a smooth, solid coating that is much tougher than conventional liquid paints.
