Yes, we deliver urban outdoor furniture to apartments without elevators—including third-, fourth-, and even fifth-floor walk-ups. The key is planning. Before delivery day, we ask for photos or a quick video of the entry, stairwell, hallway turns, and balcony or patio access. We also ask for measurements of the narrowest door and the tightest corner. That helps us decide whether your outdoor sofa, dining set, lounge chairs, or planters can go up as-is or need to be partially disassembled.
For walk-up buildings, our delivery team uses padded straps, protective blankets, and furniture sliders. We remove legs, arms, or backs when possible, then reassemble everything in your outdoor space. If the stairwell is too tight for a fully assembled piece, we can often bring in modular pieces and build them on the balcony or rooftop. We also handle small elevators, narrow fire doors, and awkward railings—common in city apartments.
There may be an extra walk-up fee, depending on floor level, item size, and whether assembly is required. We'll tell you upfront before scheduling, so there are no surprises. If you live in a building with a loading zone, freight elevator, or COI requirement, send those details too. We can coordinate with management and choose an arrival window that keeps hallways clear.
Not every piece works in every walk-up. Very large one-piece outdoor sofas or heavy concrete planters may not fit or may be unsafe to carry. In those cases, we'll suggest modular alternatives, lighter materials, or a different layout. But most urban outdoor furniture—folding chairs, bistro tables, compact sectionals, and stackable seating—can be delivered and set up without an elevator.
So yes: no elevator doesn't mean no outdoor furniture. Send us your address, floor, and a few photos, and we'll confirm the best delivery plan.
