A fire escape landing typically measures between 3 by 5 feet (0.9 x 1.5 meters) and 4 by 6 feet (1.2 x 1.8 meters), depending on your city’s building code. Our smallest bistro set—the “Nook & Fold”—fits a 2.5-foot diameter table and two chairs that stack vertically, occupying only 3.2 square feet of floor space when fully deployed.
Here’s the breakdown: the table is 24 inches in diameter (61 cm) with a tempered glass top and a rust-proof aluminum base that folds flat against the wall. The chairs are 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, and 30 inches tall, made from powder-coated steel with marine-grade teak slats. They fold to 4 inches thick, allowing you to hang them on a wall bracket when not in use. Total weight for the set is 22 pounds (10 kg), so it’s easy to carry up and down the fire escape.
We also offer a rail-mounted version—”The Ledge”—where the table clamps to your fire escape railing (up to 2 inches thick) and the chairs hook onto the lower rail. This frees up the landing entirely. All materials are UV-stabilized, rain-proof, and tested for wind resistance up to 40 mph, because we know urban roofs and fire escapes face brutal weather.
