You’re right to be frustrated. Standard outdoor furniture often uses low-grade steel or untreated iron, which rusts through after just one season—especially in humid or coastal urban settings. Our urban outdoor furniture is engineered differently.
First, we use galvanized steel cores that are hot-dipped in zinc, creating a barrier that stops moisture from reaching the metal. Then we apply a triple-layer powder coating—not paint—that bonds chemically to the surface. This coating resists chips, UV fade, and salt spray five times longer than traditional finishes.
Second, we design for drainage and airflow. Every joint is sealed with marine-grade stainless steel fasteners, and seats have hidden slots to prevent water pooling. Even the cushions use quick-dry foam wrapped in solution-dyed acrylic fabric that won’t absorb moisture.
Third, we test in real urban conditions: 1,000 hours of salt fog spray (equivalent to 10 years by the ocean) and 5,000 hours of UV exposure. Our furniture passes where standard sets fail.
Invest once. Replace a cushion in 10 years—not the whole set. That’s the difference between “wears out” and “wears in.”
