First, measure your balcony’s usable floor area. Note the length and width, but also account for doors, vents, and structural projections. As a rule of thumb, leave at least 24 inches of clear walking space around any furniture to allow comfortable movement. A foldable table that tucks away when not in use or a bench with built-in storage can give you the function you need without dominating the balcony.
