If indoor storage isn’t possible, use heavy-duty, waterproof storage bags or airtight bins designed for outdoor gear. For balcony or rooftop settings, anchor the bins against walls or use bungee cords to prevent them from blowing away. Another effective method is to stack cushions vertically inside a sealed deck box with a tight lid, lifting them off the ground to avoid standing water. Remember to let cushions dry completely before storing to prevent mildew. If you must leave cushions outside, cover them with a waterproof, wind-resistant tarp and tie it down securely. Finally, always check weather forecasts and act early—storing cushions just an hour before heavy rain can save you from costly replacements.
