When we talk about minimalism in urban outdoor furniture, we often imagine stripped-down forms that disappear into the cityscape. In our collection, the design that answers this call is what we call *The Line* — a single continuous sheet of 8mm powder-coated steel, folded into a low, horizontal ‘Z’ shape. It has no legs, no backrest, no armrests, no visible fasteners, and no surface coating beyond a matte charcoal finish. The seat plane is exactly 45cm wide and 120cm long, at a height of 43cm — the perfect perch for a quick rest or an impromptu gathering.
This piece challenges the very idea of “furniture.” It functions simultaneously as a bench (for two people sitting side by side) and as a stool (for one person leaning or standing). The folded geometry creates an upward curve at the front edge, acting as a subtle foot-stop for the sitter, while the back edge slopes gently into the ground, eliminating any trip hazard. The entire weight is distributed through the pure tension of the fold, so no welding or joints are needed.
Installation is equally minimal: it sits directly on compacted gravel or concrete, requiring no bolts or foundations. Rainwater runs off its single continuous surface, and graffiti can be wiped away with a solvent. In a city square, *The Line* becomes almost invisible — a quiet, functional sculpture that allows the urban space to speak for itself. That, to us, is the most minimalist design we offer.
