For true sustainability, always look for independent certifications like FSC or PEFC. These guarantee the wood comes from forests managed for biodiversity, ecosystem health, and community benefits. Ultimately, the most sustainable wood is the one that lasts the longest with proper care, reducing the need for replacement. Choosing durable, certified species and maintaining them well ensures your outdoor furniture is a truly eco-friendly investment.
