To clean mildew off your outdoor furniture, start by checking the manufacturer's cleaning instructions if available. For general cleaning, create a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, or use a mixture of 1 cup bleach per gallon of water for tougher stains (test on a small area first for colored furniture). Apply the solution with a spray bottle or sponge, scrubbing gently with a soft brush. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with a hose. Let the furniture dry completely in the sun. To prevent future mildew, store furniture indoors during wet seasons, use protective covers, and clean it regularly. For delicate materials like cushions, use a mild soap solution and ensure they are completely dry before storage.
