Use heavy-duty straps, ropes, or chains to tie them down to a solid, grounded structure. Never leave furniture unsecured, as wind can easily toss it. If you cannot bring items inside and lack a way to anchor them, consider turning tables upside down to reduce wind resistance and placing chairs underneath. Remove all cushions and fabric covers, as these can become projectiles and will be ruined by water.
